Scope and Content

This file contains one card signed by the members of the Gethsemani Abbey community who were novices or postulants under Thomas Merton as Father Master, or Master of Novices. This places the date of the letter between 1955 and 1965 and was given on occasion of the Feast of St. Louis, Merton's patron (Fr. Louis being his name in religion). There were two letters added from 1957 from Merton to his novices (added June 2016).
