Scope and Content

Merton and Carey discuss the philosophy of art, especially sacred art. At the time of correspondence, Merton was working on the manuscript of the book "Art and Worship," which was not published. Some of his articles on sacred art appeared in Good Work.

Biography

Arthur Graham Carey was the founder of The Catholic Art Quarterly, later known as Good Work.
