Scope and Content

Thomas Merton responds to a Methodist woman who asked Merton for clarification about some aspect of The Seven Storey Mountain. Merton admits he would have written much of it differently, "[i]ncluding that statement about becoming a 'saint'." He also explains the meaning of the title of the book and writes on grace.
