So wrote Thomas Merton after visiting the reclining Buddhas at Polonnaruwa in Sri Lanka on December 1st 1968, only nine days before his death.
This new publication from the Thomas Merton Society of Great Britain and Ireland includes three essays by Monica Weis, Paul Pearson and Kathleen Deignan, originally presented at the Sixth General Meeting and Conference of the Society in 2006.
