They concern the line, Bonitatem et disciplinam et scientiam doce me [Teach me goodness and discipline and knowledge (Psalms 118:66)], which he reads as Suavitatem et eruditionem et scientiam doce me [Teach me docility and delight and knowledge]. Suavitatem-the wisdom that comes from delight in virtue. Disciplina-docility-the wisdom that is born of suffering. |
