QuotationI do not have much interest in Sartre, he puts me to sleep, as if he were deliberately dull: assommant is a much better word. He shaves me, as the French say. He beats me over the head with his dullness, though Huis Clos strikes me as a good and somewhat puritanical play. The other thing of his I have tried to read, La Nausee, is drab and stupid.
