QuotationBouyer on the Meaning of the Monastic Life we regard as standard. In an older context, there is Dom Marmion, always safe and solid. Bouyer's new Introduction to Spirituality is a bit advanced, but I should think you might be able to use it. A perfect biography of St. Therese which is very useful for all religious is the Hidden Face by [Ida] Goerres. We always like Guardini here. To my mind he is one of the most important and articulate Catholic authors of the moment. He has good things on prayer, faith, and so on. Prayer in Practice comes to mind as excellent. Fr. Danielou is liked by the novices and I like him too. Also Hubert Van Zeller.
