Article (Essay) D.1 Merton, Thomas, 1915-1968; 1957 Newsletter [Catholic Art Association, College Committee] Originally, this was a series of conferences given to the Scholastics at the Abbey of Gethsemani. Later, Parts I-IV were published as "Notes on Sacred and Profane Art" in Jubilee. There was also a series of issues of the "Newsletter" of the Catholic Art Association, College Committee, which published most of it as "Notes on Sacred Art" (from Vol. IX, No. 2 [October 1957] through No. 9 [May 1958]).
