Notes:  This contains a daily schedule titled "A Vocation to Silence", likely by Thomas Merton though not signed or so designated. It is similar to others in schedule to others at Gethsemani and his own schedules elsewhere (see "Schedule of Fr. M. Louis. Ca. 1950" and "Personal schedule (Fr. Louis) for hermitage, 1965; and Daily schedule (1943-1949)" in Sub-section E.1). It could be for himself, a description sent to someone else of his day, or something for use by the novices. However, it differs from others in two humorous sections on the page, one describing the routine of life in an igloo and one of "office rules" for the "Mt. Cory (N.Y.) Carriage and Wagon Works".
