Scope and Content

Merton and Carey discuss the philosophy of art, especially sacred art. At the time of correspondence, Merton was working on the book Art and Worship, and some of this articles on sacred art appeared in Good Work.

Arthur Graham Carey was the founder of The Catholic Art Quarterly, later known as Good Work.
