Scope and Content

Clarence W. Schultz was concerned about racism in his community of rural southern Indiana. He asks if Merton will write an article he could deliver to a Kiwanis Club meeting or allow him to use some of his existing material. He relates incidents of racism experienced by an African-American visiting priest. Merton responds with some of his existing articles and some advice in coping with issues of racism.
