There is no extant correspondence from Miller, but the thesis exists in the Merton Center collection (see "Related Information" below). The file contains one letter of response from Merton, critiquing Miller's plan for a Cistercian monastery with both praise and criticism based on experience from having lived the monastic life.

Biography

William J. Miller wrote a plan for the construction of a Cistercian monastery as an undergraduate thesis in architecture at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
